So you want to help the PRPA in its mission of preserving and presenting a treasured slice of history? Here's how:
Become part of our team! PRPA members receive our newsletter, Whistle Up the Columbia (4 issues per year) and are among the first to learn about planned excursions of the SP&S 700. It's now quick and easy to join or renew your membership with our new option to pay dues online by credit card or PayPal. Just select the number of years for which you'd like to pay, the year to begin/renew your membership (all memberships last from Jan. 1 till Dec. 31), and click the "Join" button. Alternatively, you can mail your name, address, email (optional) and membership dues to PRPA Membership, P.O. Box 2851, Portland, OR 97208.
We greatly appreciate donations as we have a large mission and a very large, expensive locomotive to operate. Your donation can make the difference between a year "in the black" and a year "in the red." Just use the button to contribute cash electronically (you'll be prompted to enter the amount on the next page) or send in your check together with your name, address, and email(optional) to: PRPA Donations, P.O. Box 2851, Portland, OR 97208.
As we are a 501(c)(3) organization, all donations to the PRPA are completely tax-deductible, and you will receive a letter or an email receipt for tax purposes.
You can also donate railroad-related items to the PRPA. We sell railroadiana at swap meets and various other events, and we also hold auctions on our eBay site. Contact concessions to arrange your donation at concessions "at" sps700 "dot" org.
If you're in the area or you're willing to make a trip, be sure to check out our events page to see when the Lady will be running an excursion. An outing on a train pulled by the 700 is a fun and memorable occasion for individuals, families, and groups.
